FAQS

How much should I invest in my wedding flowers?

As a boutique floral design company, Bloomflora offers a very intimate and personalized service. We have chosen to book only one wedding a weekend so that all our attention is focused on you and your big day. Our minimum booking is $4,000 for a wedding. Our design approach for each event is unique, as every client has their own vision and it’s our pleasure to help bring it to life.

How do I book Bloomflora for my wedding/event?

Simple. We ask that you kindly fill out our Wedding Inquiry form or General Event form, which provides us with your basic wedding/event needs. Once the form is received, we will schedule a phone consultation. After our call, we will design a customized visual presentation along with your floral proposal. Upon approval, we require a $500 non-refundable deposit and your signature to secure the date. You are officially booked!

Do you do events other than weddings?

Yes, of course! We love to do florals and styling for intimate gatherings in your home or the location of your choice. Birthday celebrations, bridal showers, baby showers, anniversary parties, and corporate events are some examples of events we enjoy working with. As part of our new mobile business, we are now partnering with business owners and residences that are looking to brighten their space with fresh florals on a weekly basis!

Do you travel?

Yes! We love to travel. That’s why we are going mobile! We specifically service NJ, NY, PA and CT via road trip, but we are open to other opportunities to travel. So, if you're having an event that may require us to take a plane, train or boat locally or possibly an island destination; we're in!

Can I order a single arrangement for local delivery?

We do not have a brick and mortar location, so single arrangement deliveries are not best suited for us. However, you can subscribe to our newsletter to find out where our next mobile pop-up shop will be and we would be delighted to design an arrangement in advance for pick up. However, we do provide single floral arrangement services on a weekly basis for corporate locations or private residences. Please fill our General Inquiry form to ask about our weekly floral installations.

What if my favorite flowers are not in season?

We have resources literally all over the world. We source flowers directly from Holland, France, Canada, and California. Even our local suppliers know suppliers. We will do our very best in locating your flowers for your big day! Please keep in mind that the cost of flowers can be higher when they are not in season. We encourage our brides and partners to have an open mind if cost is a concern. Allowing for substitutions can open several doors to more creative options and vision.

How far in advance should I plan on booking my florist?

Ideally, we recommend securing a date that is nine months to a year before the wedding. Spring, early summer, and fall are considered peak wedding seasons. You should reach out to your "most coveted" floral designers as early as possible if your wedding date falls within those time frames. We do ask that you have some basic details ironed out such as the date and venue location.

I live out of town and I'm not able to meet in person until just before my wedding! Can I still work with you?

We would be delighted! Meeting face-to-face is so important for this process and thanks to technology WE CAN! Please fill out our wedding inquiry form and we will schedule a 1 hour skype chat for our consultation. We will communicate via email, send you video as needed, and continue to communicate through scheduled skype conferences until we meet in person. Our goal is to help make you feel comfortable and secure!

How much do you charge for delivery, setup, labor, and breakdown fees?

These fees vary depending on the distance, timing, and complexity of each event. The proposal will include overall fees and will be discussed prior to signing a contract.

Will you coordinate with my other vendors?

Yes, we are more than happy to coordinate with any of your vendors. We will always ask for your contact person at the venue, your photographer, and your cake designer if we are doing flowers for your cake. We will always reach out to those specified vendors with an introduction email.

What should I expect during the consultation process?

We want to know as much about you as possible, so that we can design wedding flowers that reflect your personality and personal style. This is a collaborative process; we recommend that you collect any images or items that inspire you for your event as a creative reference. In our conversations we want to hear about your hobbies, family, culture, style, favorite colors, etc. Anything that you provide us is valuable in our design process.

Another technique we encourage is to place yourself in the shoes of your guests and mentally walk through the space & evening. Picture your color palette and style of flowers flowing through the space to set the tone of your event.

After the initial conference, it will take our team about two weeks to create a first draft of the proposal. This draft is an opportunity to make sure that we have captured your vision. Sometimes the first draft needs to be tweaked. We certainly welcome edits if necessary and we are happy to have another go at it! We generally look to confirm a date, receive a deposit, and have the contract signed a week after the proposal is approved.
